As a professional online shopper and lifestyle editor (yes, I love my job) as well as a lifelong New Yorker, I can definitively say that I am great at shopping. While I told myself I wasn’t going to shop that much this season in an effort to contribute a little more to my 401(k), as soon as the weather hit sixty in New York, I knew that goal was toast.

Spring, and the snow-melting sunny weather that comes with it, is the best time to shop. And just like any good shopping and consumer goods enthusiast, I’m addicted to scrolling the digital racks of Nordstrom. Right now, I have approximately 107 items in my cart, ranging from designer sunglasses to sunscreen and sleep machines.

Shop my eight editor-approved picks from Nordstrom this spring below that are absolute must-haves.

As a chronic over-packer, I’m finally taking the plunge to invest in packing cubes to save space in my suitcase. This five-piece set from Calpak comes in two colors, Hazel (pictured) and Black. In it, you get two small cubes, one medium cube, one larger cube and a small pouch for things like makeup and other small accessories.

I love collecting white t-shirts. They’re soft, classic and versatile. This oversized one from Zella is a Nordstrom top seller and, according to the retailer’s website, more than 50 people are viewing the shirt as I type this.

Every morning for breakfast since I was, like, five, I eat a large bowl of warm oatmeal. In case you didn’t know, baked oatmeal is the viral food craze on TikTok right now so obviously, I need to try it out. This little round cocotte from Le Creuset is both stylish and practical without breaking the bank.

Confession: I do not own a real hairdryer. While I love my Dyson Airwrap so much that I want to be buried with it, it’s a styler. I’m learning how to take better care of my natural 2C curls and the Dyson Supersonic with the diffuser attachment is calling my name. Engineered to protect hair from extreme heat damage, it dries fast and is super lightweight. The attachments include a diffuser, flyaway, styling concentrate, gentle air attachment and a wide-tooth comb attachment.

I have severely acne-prone and sensitive skin and have been a loyal user of the Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen for years now. It’s a totally invisible, weightless, scent-free, makeup-gripping daily primer with broad-spectrum SPF 40 protection that won’t clog your pores or irritate your skin. I don’t intend to switch my SPF up anytime soon and will keep repurchasing until they discontinue it. (If that happens, I might find a way to steal the formula á la National Treasure.)

Okay, I know this was technically made for children but I’ve been having a lot of trouble waking up in the mornings lately. Plus, daylight savings time is ending, which means everything is going to feel out of whack. I can’t wait to try this Hatch sleep machine and program various bedtime and morning routines with my iPhone.

If you’ve even slightly been paying attention to trends, you’ll know that this summer is going to be the summer of the heart sunglasses. While definitely an investment purchase, this Saint Laurent pair is everything and more. I can’t wait to wear these every single day while on vacation or honestly while just grabbing groceries in leggings.

One of my biggest life regrets is not purchasing this Alo tennis skirt when it first came out last year. So, obviously, I’m getting my hands on it for this summer. Honestly, it’s more perfect because tennis skirts, while you’re not playing tennis, is one of the most popular hashtag trends on TikTok right now.
